Promois Encapsulated PROCID is a powdered poultry feed acidifier that is a combination of organic acids to provide a broad spectrum of activity against bacteria and fungi.
Animal Feed Acidifiers are organic acids incorporated into the feed for nutritional or preservative purposes. They help to control microbial growth, reduction of feed buffer capacity, inhibit pathogenic bacteria and also improve nutrient digestibility.
Acidifiers in feed inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria and curtail the microbial competition for host nutrients by influencing the pH. The proliferation of most pH-sensitive bacteria (E. coli, Salmonella and Clostridium perfringens) is minimized below pH 5 while acid-tolerant ones survive.
